The SENSE Charter food pantry will be open to our families tomorrow, Thursday, November 29th from 8:30-9:30 am and again 3:30-4:30 pm. Please remember to bring your own shopping bags for extra points.
University of Indianapolis education department students from Professor Angelia Ridgway’s class have not only donated their time to serve at our school as classroom assistants, they have done extensive food, hygiene and cleaning supply drives on campus and solicited donations from their friends and families to help keep our food pantry shelves stocked. Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing, donated $600 and a car loads of food items to help support the SENSE food pantry. SENSE is excited to announce an online student registration/returning student validation system for the upcoming school year. The system is a secure and green process, which allows us to verify all student demographic, emergency and medical information for your child prior to the start of the new school year. The system will also allow you to electronically sign the annual permission forms for school district policies. In short, this online process replaces all the hard copy student registration and permission forms that your child brings home on the first day of school. There will also be a parent portal that will allow you to check your students progress online!
We will be sending the information out via Email…. But we don’t have email addresses for all of you. Please contact the school at your convenience to update or provide an email address we can use. You can also just write it down and send it in to the office with your student.
I know it’s early, but it takes a while to get the process set up and we want to make sure you do not miss out on any communications that might impact your students seat for next year!

The SENSE second graders took a field trip to the Eagle Creek Earth Discovery Center. Naturalists at the Center provided an interactive, nature-based program that made leaning fun for our students.

SENSE 7th and 8th grade families: Please plan to attend SENSE’s High School Night on THIS THURSDAY, Nov. 8th from 4:30-5:30 pm. Students and families will learn more about their student’s high school options and complete the 21st century scholar application.
The SENSE families of students in grades 1-3 created crafts in celebration of the Mexican holiday of Day of the Dead on Friday, November 2nd. Afterwards they viewed the animated Disney movie, Coco.

Tomorrow! All Father's, uncles, grandfathers, and male guardians over the age of 18. (You can also join your child at our Book Fair, immediately afterwards.)
SENSE Charter School will be open on Election Day- Tuesday, November 6th.
