Fourth Grade students have been studying parts of speech during the first quarter. Today in Mrs. Fisher's room they "escaped" a "Haunted House" using their parts of speech knowledge to "crack the codes!"


Students in Mrs. Fisher's 4th grade are learning about Erosion in Science, and today they made erosion happen using dirt and water!!

Students in Mrs. Fisher's 4th grade are showing independence and mastery today by determining if they will multiply or divide for comparison word problems before taking their assessment in math today!

Fourth Graders in Mrs. Fisher's class are working with Traditional Literature to show their understanding of theme and summarizing.


Don't forget tomorrow our Food Pantry is open (Thursday, Sept 21st). The hours are 8:30am to 10:00am and then again 3:30pm to 4:30pm. It is only open for the families of SENSE. We encourage you to bring your own shopping bags. If you'd like learn more about the food pantry, or if you'd like to donate/volunteer, contact Mrs. Voss at the School. Thanks!


Come roll with us at the SENSE Charter Family Skate Night Tomorrow Night (Tuesday September 19th) from 5:30-7:00 pm at Wheels of Wonder, 175 Southern Plaza Drive. $4.00 per person includes admission and skate rental. Non-skating adults are free. Come join a night of skating and arcade game fun! (A parent or guardian must stay with the children)


Don't forget tomorrow (Saturday) is the Art Parade in Fountain Square!! Meet us at 4:30pm in the Southeast Community Services parking lot at 901 Shelby Street. The parade is will start at 5:00pm. March with us or just watch! Don't miss the block part right after the parade from 6:00 to 8:00pm at 901 Shelby!


Fourth graders in Mrs. Dillard & Ms. O's class explore how the position of the fulcrum impacts the ability to lift a load using levers.


Fun with Science in Mrs. Fisher's fourth grade! In Science they are learning about Simple Machines. This week they learned about wheels and axles. They made a wheel and axle today to see how far it would travel down the inclined plane outside. How far do you think they went?


Students in Mrs. Fisher's 4th grade class discussed how theme could be similar to a Hostess Cupcake to vegin their unit on theme. They came to the conclusion that themes are not always stated and sometimes you have to imply the theme. A Hostess Cupcake has a hidden filling inside like theme could be a hidden message in a book from the author!


Mrs. Dillard & Ms. Osthimer's class practices multiplication using giant dice!


In Mrs. Fisher's fourth grade class they been learning how multiplication is similar to comparisons this week in Math. Today before their quiz they practiced by making their own number sentences, bar models, and word problems to match the number sentence and bar model! 👍🏻🎲✖️
