The SENSE Charter food pantry will be open to our families tomorrow Thursday, May 9th from 8:30 to 9:30 am and again 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Please remember to bring your own shopping bags for extra points.

The SENSE after-school Club, the Environmental Investigators, installed a frog pond in the school’s habitat to include bullfrog tadpoles in our biodiversity counts. Sponsored by Kappa Delta Pi honor society.

The After school Dance club at SENSE is canceled today. Your student will be sent home using their regular transportation option, unless you contact the school with different instructions.

Soccer! The game is still on! So many have been canceled recently because of rain, we're going try and move forward. See you all there tonight!

The SENSE Third Grade field trip for tomorrow (Friday) to the Bluespring Caverns has been postponed due to flooding. It has been rescheduled for Friday, May 17 El viaje de campo SENSE de tercer grado para mañana (viernes) a las Cavernas de Bluespring se ha pospuesto debido a una inundación. The Duck Races are coming to the Wind & Water Festival Buy a rubber duck (or several!) for $3 each to help raise funds for school field trips. Ducks are sold at SENSE (1601 Barth Ave) and day-of. Cash please. Prizes will be given for duck race winners as well as paper plane craftspeople in the categories of highest and longest flight, and overall design. There will also be fun games, crafts and Big Car's Wagon of Wonders.

A rubber duck race, paper plane and kite-flying, water sampling, and other fun activities coming up at the Wind and Water Festival Saturday, May 11th from 11am-1pm on Barth Avenue Bridge along Pleasant Run! ROW and SENSE Charter are partnering to bring education about wind and water to students, families, friends, and neighbors for a fun festival day.

The After school Dance club at SENSE is canceled today, due to a death in the family of one of the instructors. Your student will be sent home using their regular transportation option, unless you contact the school with different instructions.

A student who turns 5 on or before September 1, 2019 can now enroll in Kindergarten for next year. Until recently they had to be 5 by August 1, if your student was on the line, they may now be eligible to attend Kindergarten at SENSE next year. Contact us and let us know! We'll help you through the process!

Tonight's soccer game against Enlace Academy is canceled due to bad weather.

Sergeant David Gard, from the Southeast District IMPD, came and spoke to our SENSE students, in grades K-3, concerning gun safety using the Eddie Eagle Gun Safe Program. The students were instructed that if they find a gun here is what they are taught do: STOP! Don’t touch. Leave the area. Run away. Tell and adult It is important to talk with your child about gun safety. Whether an adult does or does not own a gun, it is important to know the rules for gun safety.
