Over the holidays, a ladies small group from Emmanuel Church donated dozens of beautiful, new blankets to SENSE Charter towards keeping our families cozy, safe and warm. The blankets were offered to our families before the holiday break in our food pantry.
The group collectively decided to make this their service to the community. Pictured here is one of the coordinators for the project, Andra Owen, who is holding a couple of the blankets. Andra is a University of Indianapolis students who also generously volunteered her time as a classroom assistant at SENSE this past semester. Thank you Emmanuel Church for this gift of blankets!

The mighty SENSE Charter Student Council team is taking on the big responsibility with assisting with recycling of paper good collected at the school and placing them in our new recycling bin across the street at Horizon Central. They are also busy creating poster to both promote and educate our school community on the importance of recycling. Our after-school Student Council program meets weekly. Itis being led by one of our fifth grade teacher, Taylor Louie and one of Kindergarten teachers, Crystal Brewster.
